SUMMER MUSICAL THEATER PROGRAMS AND CAMPS
Exploring beginner? College-bound pre-professional? Somewhere in be-“tween”? KSMT offers high-caliber, educational summer opportunities for students ages 3.5-18. From “under the sea” adventures to soaring to “unlimited” heights, explore our full and part-day theater training camps, private lesson intensives, and performance camps. KSMT’s programs are professionally designed & executed by a phenomenal, multifaceted team of industry experts whose theater and teaching & artistic skill sets are equal to the incredible level of dedication and passion they bring to their work with children.
This wickedly energetic musical theater camp will fly into Oz, exploring themes, music, and characters by comparing and contrasting modern and classic interpretations. New and continuing students will shine as they learn from some of Pittsburgh's professional and caring instructors and artists. On the final day, families will be proud when they see their student’s growth and accomplishments. Experience what KSMT's core training program, Total Broadway, has to offer!

This exciting two week musical theater camp offers performers the opportunity to receive high-caliber direction & choreography, & shine on stage in front of two live audiences! During the rehearsal process, performers will get to work with KSMT’s elite artistic team of charismatic experts, known for creating an entertaining, hard-working, & productive atmosphere for young artists to thrive in. Each cast member will receive a KSMT Little Mermaid musical t-shirt keepsake which will be incorporated into a creative & simple professional costume design. Each performer will receive six free tickets to each performance.

The Senior Division can also participate in the the optional Project Edge performance. Part cabaret, part Showcase, cast members choose & stage their own material under the guidance of the KSMT Team.

Conservatory Bootcamp is an advanced musical theater training camp for KSMT’s Conservatory & Pre-Conservatory program students and is designed to challenge and elevate their technical, intellectual, and artistic skill sets in voice, dance, & acting. Throughout the course of the week students will study complex material selected from four stylistically contrasting Broadway musicals, and work toward mastering a variety of demanding & exhilarating works created by renowned choreographers, composers, & authors. The week culminates into a well-deserved certificate ceremony & theater party amongst friends, jam-packed with mini performances, food, games, surprises and laughter!

*Conservatory Bootcamp Enrollment Requirements
Current Students:
Open to 2023, 2024 & 2025 Pre-Conservatory & Conservatory students. Invitations will go out to prospective future students in April.
New students:
Intermediate and Advanced students may submit a 3 minute maximum audition video for consideration. Please sent videos to Academy@KeystoneTheater.org (Voice - 16-32 bars of a song; Acting - a short monologue; Ballet - center combo).
Week long private lesson intensives! (45 minute sessions) Take advantage of summertime and sign up for individual training with one of KSMT’s elite professionals. Musical theater is as fun as it is challenging. It’s important for ambitious young artists to keep up their dance, voice, & acting training throughout the year in order to properly maintain abilities, and progress in that which they so love. Receiving a combination of group & private training courses over the summer accelerates a student’s developmental growth intellectually, physically, & emotionally. Study one on one with a KSMT pro, and start your Fall feeling sharper & ready to go!
